Emmy Nominations Reactions

The 2015 Emmy Awards nominations were announced on Thursday, as Gossip Cop reported earlier, and several nominees are already reacting to the good news. Amy Schumer, who received a nomination for her show, “Inside Amy Schumer,” tweeted a photo of her gorging on food, writing, “We are all ecstatic about the #EmmyNoms for #InsideAmy I am celebrating!” Don Cheadle simply wrote “Yay” after learning he had received his fourth nomination in a row for “House of Lies.” And “How To Get Away With Murder” star Viola Davis humbly stated, “In great company with my sister @TherealTaraji! Also, @NiecyNash! Congrats to all on the outstanding work!”

“Orphan Black” actress Tatiana Maslany tweeted, “#CloneClub & #clonesbians, this bud’s for you. Thanks buddies.” Ricky Gervais, who is up for Lead Actor in a Limited TV or Movie for his role in “Derek,” posted, “O.M.F*cking.G! I just got nominated for another EMMY! Over the moon. #Derek.” He added in a second tweet, “No to Fox Hunting and Yes to Emmy nomination. My bestest week ever! #Derek.” Alan Cumming from “The Good Wife,” shared a picture of himself relaxing outside on a hammock with his dog, writing in the caption, “Where I was when I got the call about being nominated for an Emmy this morning!”

“American Horror Story” creator Ryan Murphy noted on Twitter, “Lots of champagne corks flying this morning. Congrats to the cast and crew of AHS for our record breaking 20 Emmy nominations!” And Jordan Peele from “Key and Peele” wrote, “Congrats to the Emmy nominations! Especially @KeeganMKey and [key] & [peele] crew!!!” Julie Bowen, from “Modern Family” also tweeted about the show’s nominations writing, “Congrats to my whole modern family on the Emmy nomination. Holy crud. We are lucky people.” She added in another post, “Thank you, Emmys for the nomination! It takes the sting out of getting shot in the head with a paintball gun. By my own kid.” And Eric Stonestreet, also from “Modern Family,” wrote, “The show I’m on called ‘Modern Family’ got nominated for its 6th Emmy today. Congrats to the cast, writers, and crew that made that possible.”

“Empire” star Taraji P. Henson, tweeted, “Thank you ALL for the #Emmy nomination love!!!!! Your love and support mean so much to me!!!” Katy Perry also tweeted about her Emmy nom, writing, “Um…Woke up to my first Emmy nomination for the Halftime show!!! V proud of everyone involved especially #leftshark.” Producer Shonda Rhimes, who created hit TV shows such as “Scandal” and “How To Get Away With Murder,” tweeted, “Nice day in #shondaland! Congrats to @violadavis, #KhandiAlexander and @IAmCicelyTyson on their Emmy noms!Nice day in #shondaland! Congrats to @violadavis, #KhandiAlexander and @IAmCicelyTyson on their Emmy noms!”

Allison Janney, from “Mom,” posted, “I am so proud to be a part of @MomCBS and #MASTERSOFSEX and incredibly grateful for the #Emmys nominations!” “Glee’s” Darren Criss, noted, “Can’t believe I got nominated for an Emmy! TY @MrRPMurphy @AdamAnders @alxanders @msleamichele @bradbuecker for bringing ‘This Time’ to life.” Pablo Schreiber, one of the stars of the Netflix series “Orange Is The New Black,” wrote, “Thank you to all for the amazing love! Also congrats to the other Schreiber @LievSchreiber. You’re MY favorite leading man.” And “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” actor Tituss Burgess posted, “I have no words. None. Deeply grateful.”
